Become a Home Care Assistant with Homelium Care

If you’re looking for a rewarding career where you can truly make a difference, becoming a Home Care Assistant with Homelium Care could be the perfect next step. Our carers support people in their own homes across local communities, helping them live safely, independently and with dignity.

This is domiciliary home care, not a care home role. Every day is different, every visit matters, and the relationships you build are at the heart of what we do.

What Does a Home Care Assistant Do at Homelium Care?

As a Home Care Assistant at Homelium Care, you’ll provide one-to-one care in people’s homes, supporting them with everyday tasks while offering reassurance, kindness and companionship.

Your role may include:

  • Personal care and daily routines

  • Companionship and emotional support

  • Meal preparation and hydration

  • Medication prompts

  • Light household tasks

  • Helping people stay independent at home

You’ll be supporting clients in familiar surroundings, often becoming a trusted and valued part of their daily lives.

Why Choose a Career in Home Care?

Home care is more than a job, it’s a career with purpose. Many people choose to become Home Care Assistants because of the flexibility, the meaningful relationships and the genuine impact they can have.

At Homelium Care, we offer:

  • Competitive pay

  • Paid travel time and mileage

  • Flexible working patterns

  • Full training and ongoing support

  • Clear development opportunities

  • A supportive, professional team environment

Whether you’re experienced in care or completely new, we’ll support you every step of the way.

This Is Domiciliary Home Care — Not a Care Home Role

It’s important to know that our Home Care Assistants travel between clients’ homes in the community. This is not a residential or care home position.

Because of this, applicants must:

  • Hold a full UK driving licence

  • Have access to their own car

This allows you to safely and reliably support clients in their own homes.

Right to Work in the UK

To work as a Home Care Assistant with Homelium Care, you must:

  • Have the right to work in the UK

  • Be able to provide relevant documentation

  • Please note: we do not offer visa sponsorship

This helps ensure a smooth and compliant recruitment process for all applicants.

New to Care? You’re Welcome Here

You don’t need previous care experience to apply. If you’re kind, reliable and compassionate, we’ll provide:

  • Full training before you start

  • Ongoing supervision and support

  • Opportunities to grow your confidence and skills

Many of our best carers started with no formal care experience, just the right values and attitude.

Where You’ll Be Working

Homelium Care supports clients across local communities in:

You’ll be working locally, travelling between nearby visits in your area.

More Than “Just a Job”

At Homelium Care, you’re never “just a carer.” You’re part of a team that values your wellbeing, celebrates your achievements and recognises the difference you make every day.

If you’re looking for a Home Care Assistant job, a domiciliary care role, or a meaningful career supporting people in their own homes, we’d love to hear from you.
