West Sussex Caregiver Coffee Events: A Warm Welcome for Those Who Give So Much

Being a caregiver can be one of the most rewarding roles but it can also be isolating, emotionally demanding and at times, overwhelming. That’s why our Caregiver Coffee events were created: to offer carers a safe, supportive space where they can take a breath, connect with others and simply be.

Held weekly in local venues across West Sussex, these sessions are open to all unpaid and professional carers and best of all, they come with a free hot drink, a warm smile and great company.

A Place to Connect, Share & Feel Understood

Many carers tell us they often feel like no one truly understands what they’re going through. These coffee mornings have quickly become more than just a cuppa, they’re a lifeline. Whether it’s sharing tips, swapping stories, or just enjoying a lighthearted chat, the atmosphere is always welcoming and judgment-free.

One Story That Touched Our Hearts

One of our most regular attendees is a lovely lady in her 80s who recently lost her husband after 60 years of marriage. After his passing, she told us she felt lost and painfully lonely.

Since discovering the caregiver coffee events, she has attended each one. She arrives quietly, but by the end of each session, she’s laughing and smiling and tells us she absolutely loves the company and the carers.

“This has given me something to look forward to. I don’t feel invisible anymore,” she shared.

Seeing her transformation has reminded all of us why these small gatherings are so important.
