Home Care Jobs in Weymouth — A Career That Makes a Real Difference

If you are looking for jobs in Weymouth that genuinely means something, work that you finish each day feeling proud of, that gives back to your local community and that fits around your life, then a career as a Home Care Assistant with Homelium Care Dorset might be exactly what you have been looking for.
We are currently hiring in Weymouth and the surrounding areas and we would love to hear from you.
Who We Are Looking For
You might not have considered a career in care before. You might be returning to work after a break, looking for a second job that fits around your main one, studying health and social care and want real hands-on experience, or simply looking for something more meaningful than what you are doing right now.
Whatever brings you here, if you are a kind, reliable and genuinely caring person, we want to meet you.
No previous experience in care is needed to join Homelium. What matters most is not what you have done before, it is the kind of person you are. Patient. Warm. Someone who naturally looks out for others. Someone who goes the extra mile without being asked.
If that sounds like you, read on!
What Home Care Jobs in Weymouth Actually Look Like
Many people imagine home care to be clinical, institutional or demanding in ways they would find difficult. The reality is something quite different.
As a Home Care Assistant with Homelium Care Dorset, you will visit clients in their own homes across Weymouth and the surrounding areas, supporting older adults to live safely, comfortably and independently in the place they love most.
Each visit is personal, meaningful and built around the individual, not a tick box exercise, but genuine, person-centred care that makes a real difference to someone’s day.
On a typical day as a Homelium carer in Weymouth, you might:
Help a client with their morning routine — washing, dressing and personal care delivered with dignity and patience
Prepare a fresh, nutritious meal and sit down for a proper cup of tea and a chat
Make sure medications are taken correctly and on time
Accompany a client on a gentle walk along the seafront or a trip to a local shop
Simply be there, a familiar, friendly and genuinely caring presence in someone’s day
For many of our clients, their Homelium carer is one of the most important people in their lives. The relationship you build, visit by visit, week by week, is something that goes far beyond the practical tasks of the role. It is a genuine human connection that matters deeply to the people you support.
And for most of our carers, it is the most rewarding work they have ever done.
